Startup community news from Houston, Texas, USA

The Iron Yard comes to Houston!

The Iron Yard comes to Houston!

Here’s some news from our friend Rich Winley at The Iron Yard:

Hey Houston entrepreneurs!

I’m with The Iron Yard, an intensive code school that just launched in Houston. We love startups. In fact, I took a company through an accelerator program not too long ago, so it’s in my blood.

We’re here to support the growing startup scene by training talented developers to work for startups, or train entrepreneurs to build their own products!

Startup Scholarship

Because of our commitment to startups in the Houston area, we’re offering a special scholarship to you for our inaugural 3-month intensive courses starting June 9th.

We’re giving a $500 scholarship to anyone in this community who is accepted into our program! (Just mention [Startup Houston/Startup Weekend in your application.)

The best part about The Iron Yard is that we guarantee that you’ll get a job offer after the program, or we give you your tuition back!

Apply today, because classes start soon!

You can learn more about our courses here:

– Front End Engineering[http://theironyard.com/academy/front-end-engineering/] (starts June 9th)

The Iron Yard Open House at START Houston

We’d love to meet you in person, so we’re hosting an open house at START Houston on May 30th. We’ll have beer, music, BBQ and a food truck. Stop by anytime between 6pm and 10pm, and look for someone in an Iron Yard shirt!

Also, if you could register here[https://ti.to/tiyhouston/the-iron-yard-houston-open-house---may-30th] so we know how much beer and food to buy, we’d appreciate it!
