Last week’s startup community roundtable was a huge success, with 100+ people coming out to Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company to learn about local funding options for startups.

On Wednesday, come to the first official Open Houston meetup, where they will be going over the first month-long challenge to build an app from 311 data. You’ll meet the head of the City of Houston’s 311 program, learn about available datasets, meet other developers, and eat a lot of pizza. Due to the government shutdown, this weekend’s NASA Space Health Hackathon scheduled for October 18 has been postponed. We will announce the rescheduled date as soon as it’s on the calendar.
