Startup America Events at SXSW

This is from an email I received from Trey Bowles, the Co-Chair of the Texas Region of Startup America. If any startups will be at SXSW and want to pitch, this is the place to do it.

Startup Texas Friends,

I wanted to follow back up with you. Startup America has selected few companies to be featured on stage at the Celebrate Startup Kick off Event at ACL (RSVP)  venue on Friday, March 9th from 7:00-10:00 pm.
There are several events that will be held and put on by Startup America during SXSWi. See a full run down here.
Please pass this along to all of your startup contacts so they know they can attend some of the great events and programming that Startup America has on tap for SXSW.

We will also be holding a Startup Texas happy hour on Sunday night March, 11 at 5:00 – 6:30 prior to the Angel Network Speed Dating Game at the Startup America section of Startup Village at the Hilton (please RSVP). We would love to feature any Texas startup (that are members of Startup America Partnership, so if these companies are not yet members, please have them sign up before sending in their logos) that would like to be featured. This includes entrepreneurs, startups, seed accelerators, university entrepreneurial programs, angel networks, VCs, etc.
If you or any of the companies you work with or support would like to be featured in this Pre-Party Happy Hour, please send a logo in the following specifications:
  • In a png or jpeg format,
  • dimensions. This will go in a keynote presentation so please keep the logo to a size of around 300×200 or send it in a format that I can resize without losing any quality in the image
  • Since this is an online presentation this can be a fairly low-res file
Please have your companies send their logos (under 1mb or so) to info@startupdfw.org
And we will make sure to have it up on a screen and rotating in front of everyone during the happy hour. Let me know if you have any questions. By the way, both of these events are FREE if you have a SXSW badge and are a Startup America company.
